Financial Aid:

Balboa Academy seeks to promote continued access to the school for our students through our financial assistance program.  The budget for our K – 12 students is 1 % of our operating budget.  Awards are made only to students who qualify for assistance on the basis of financial need.  Financial aid requests submitted by parents are treated with strict confidentiality.

How assistance is determined:

Balboa Academy believes that parents have an obligation to pay the educational expenses of their children to the extent they are able.  The financial assistance program exists to fill the gap between the family’s ability to pay and the actual cost of a year’s education.

The Financial Assistance Committee attempts to meet individual needs.  Its decisions are also influenced by availability of funds.  Families can expect to receive the same portion of assistance as long as financial circumstances do not change greatly.

To apply for assistance:

To request financial assistance, the parents must write a letter to the Board of trustees requesting a scholarship and stating the reasons for the request.
