TerraNova is a US standardized test published by CTB Corporation.  It is administered in the spring of each year to Balboa Academy Students in grades 1-11. All TerraNova scores are reported in Percentiles.  The national average is always the 50 percentile.

The SAT, Scholastic Achievement Test, is a three-hour standardized test that measures verbal reasoning, critical reading, and math problem solving skills for college bound students. Participation in the SAT exam is required for entrance into many colleges and universities and is an important factor in determining how well-prepared students are for college-level work.

The Advanced Placement Exam, is a three-hour standardized examination, that measures a students knowledge compared to college students completing a similar entry level college course.  Students take the AP tests upon completion of the course in their junior or senior year of high school.  A score of 3 to 5 on the AP exam provides advanced placement and college credit at most colleges and universities and is an important factor in determining how well-prepared students are for college-level work.
